Attorney Bio

Mr. DeMelfi is an experienced litigator at Melville Johnson, P.C., in Atlanta, Georgia, whose practice areas include employment law, ERISA, appellate law, business litigation, probate law and general litigation.  Mr. DeMelfi has represented a wide variety of clients, both individuals and businesses, in domestic and international matters.

Mr. DeMelfi has practiced in a wide variety of federal and state courts, including working with clients at the United States Supreme Court.  In addition to working with clients in courts in the United States of America, Mr. DeMelfi also works with clients, whose cases have international implications.  With this diverse experience, Mr. DeMelfi has negotiated settlements and helped them navigate the many obstacles that they encounter in these complex and complicated legal matters. 

Mr. DeMelfi received a Bachelors of Arts degree in English and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia, in Athens, Georgia. Mr. DeMelfi went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from the New England School of Law, in Boston, Massachusetts.  Mr. DeMelfi is admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia, The Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, The United State District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, The Supreme Court of the State of Georgia, and The Court of Appeals for the State of Georgia.  Mr. DeMelfi is also a Member of the American Bar Association. 

Mr. DeMelfi currently makes his home in the Metro Atlanta Area, with his wife, Shoney.
